“For years, fans had to work harder than they should have to watch our athletes compete. We are thrilled the new centralized broadcast strategy we’ve worked on with FIS and the other countries removes that friction.

World Cup ski and snowboard racing just became FREE, to watch during the 2026/27 season anyway, thanks to a new expanded partnership between the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), U.S. Ski & Snowboard, and NBC.

The introduction of Ski & Snowboard World Cup, a 24/7, free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel, will go live in November across leading platforms in the United States and Canada.

According to the FIS throughout the season, skiing and snowboarding can be viewed in the United States not only via the FAST channel, but also on NBC platforms and on FIS’ newly launched Ski & Snowboard World Cup YouTube channel.

Colorado ski resorts Copper Mountain and Beaver Creek will host two FIS World Cup race events during the 2026/27 season, both airing for free via the new streaming channel partnership.

Similarly, in Canada, coverage is set to be broader than ever, with CBC and its streaming platform, Gem, having acquired their most comprehensive rights package in over a decade.

Ski & Snowboard World Cup will begin rolling out across leading streaming services in the United States and Canada from November, including Prime Video, Fire TV, Google TV, Live TV on PS5, Plex, Sony Pictures Core, The Roku Channel, and Xumo Play. Further details, including availability on additional services, will be announced in due course.

“For years, fans had to work harder than they should have to watch our athletes compete,” U.S. Ski & Snowboard President & CEO Sophie Goldschmidt said of the streaming television launch.

“We are thrilled that the new centralized broadcast strategy we’ve worked on with FIS and the other countries removes that friction. This is a new era, which now makes it easier to watch our sports and follow your favorite athletes. Along with our other content initiatives, this helps to further grow our sports.”

According to the FIS, Ski & Snowboard World Cup was created in partnership with C15 Studio, one of North America’s leading FAST operators.

“The new home of ski and snowboard in North America will feature more than 600 hours of premium live coverage of elite snow sports and will be distributed across major connected television platforms, available to tens of millions of households on their existing devices, with no subscription required,” the FIS said.

The FIS said year-round programming dedicated entirely to snow sports will include live FIS World Cup events across a wide array of disciplines, such as Alpine and Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined, and the full range of Freestyle, Freeski, and Snowboard competitions.

Beyond live competitions, viewers will also be able to enjoy a range of documentaries, classic races, and behind-the-scenes access to the personalities that shape snow sports.

“Enthusiasm for elite snow sports across the US and Canada is at an all-time high, driven by an exceptional generation of athletes redefining the sport on the world stage,” CEO and co-founder of C15 Studio Joe Nilsson said. “Our collaboration with FIS brings that thrill front and center, giving fans a front-row seat to the entire World Cup journey.”
